Where Our Story Began
Taxi Loyal was founded in 1985 and was owned by George Rizk in 2002, whose leadership shaped the foundational years of our growth.
His focus on operational strength and customer-centric approach became the backbone of everything Taxi Loyal stands for today.
George fostered a strong team culture and laid the groundwork for long-term stability. His dedication created the values-driven foundation from which Taxi Loyal would evolve, and his legacy remains at the core of who we are.

From Strong Roots To Smart Innovation
In 2011, Alexandre Rizk, son of George Rizk, stepped into leadership and guided Taxi Loyal through a major transformation. Under his direction, the company grew from a fleet of 24 vehicles to the large, modern operation it is today.
For him, the taxi industry should not just be about getting you from point A to point B; it's about innovation, seamless experiences, and building a sustainable future.
By 2016, Alex introduced a shared dispatch model that opened Taxi Loyal’s call management system to partner companies across Quebec. This initiative, developed in partnership with ID Gatineau, has since become the largest taxi dispatch centre in Quebec, creating more jobs in Gatineau and offering 30-50% cost savings for partnering companies.
His focus on technology didn’t stop there. To improve the customer experience, Alex led the development of Taxi Loyal’s booking app, which allows users to book rides in seconds, pre-schedule trips, and access exclusive perks. The app reflects Taxi Loyal’s shift toward smarter, more seamless service, combining convenience with transparency.
Alex brought a long-term vision rooted in innovation, customer-centric growth, and collaboration. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, he stayed committed to the team. Taxi Loyal kept all its staff, continuing to invest and prepare for future growth.
In 2024, Alex’s leadership was recognized by the Ottawa Board of Trade (OBOT) and the Ottawa Business Journal (OBJ), naming him to the prestigious Forty Under 40 list - a proud moment for him and the entire team that continues moving Taxi Loyal forward.
