The Taxi Driver is responsible for transporting customers safely and efficiently to their destinations, while providing courteous service. He must keep his vehicle in good condition, know the region perfectly, respect road regulations and manage fare payments. A valid taxi license, good driving record and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Main responsibilities :

• Passenger Transportation : Drive customers to their destinations safely and efficiently.

• Customer Service : Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers, assisting with baggage if necessary.

• Vehicle maintenance : Ensure that the taxi is always clean, in good working order and well maintained. Carry out regular checks of the vehicle.

• Payment management : Collect fares for rides in accordance with official rates and issue receipts if requested.

• Knowledge of the area : Have excellent knowledge of routes, points of interest, traffic areas and road conditions.

• Compliance with regulations : Comply with all road regulations and rules specific to the taxi industry.

• Communication : Stay in contact with the taxi center to receive and confirm reservations, report incidents or request assistance if necessary.

Required skills :

• Excellent driving skills and a good driving record.
• Ability to work long hours and flexible schedules.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions.
• Knowledge of the local language and, ideally, one or more foreign languages.

Qualifications :

• Valid driving license.
• Taxi license or any other permit required by local regulations.
• Previous experience as a taxi driver or in a similar position is an asset.
• First aid training is a plus.
